Leaf Log is a carbon neutral, renewable and sustainable solid fuel suitable for homes and businesses and has been produced using the most natural of resources – fallen leaves. Using a renewable energy source for fuel reduces the planet’s dependence on energy sources that significantly contribute to climate change. Turning the annual leaf collection (thousands of tonnes) into Leaf Logs eliminates the need to landfill this organic waste, which currently releases methane gases into the environment when decomposing.
Manufactured in the UK, Leaf Logs are approximately 1kg – 1.3kgs in weight, consisting of approximately 65%-75% leaves and burns for over 2 hours. Consumers simply place each log on the grate and light the bag and then enjoy the warmth and aesthetics of a real fire. Providing immediate ignition from an open flame, Leaf Logs require no kindling or firelighters and produce a clean smoke-free flame. The fine dust which is left (less than 1%) can then be used to fertilize gardens.
